What we keep, and why
Last Meals is a small, independent project. In plain words:
Meals are public
Everything you put on a meal — your name (or “Anonymous”), its title, the dishes, “Why this meal?” and anyone you save a seat for — is shown to everyone on the home page, Explore, The Menu and in share previews. Don't include anything you wouldn't want seen, like someone's full name, contact details or anything private.
You don't need an account
If you choose to sign in (on the You page), we keep your email address so your meals can follow you to other devices. It's only used to send your one-time sign-in code, is never shown to anyone and never sold or shared. Sign-in is handled by our database provider, Supabase.
On your device
Your browser remembers which meals you've served and liked, and the last name you typed, so the app can show them back to you. That stays on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes it.
Analytics
We count visits and a few actions (like a meal being served or shared) with Vercel Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or follow you around the web. It helps us see what's working — nothing more.
Having something removed
Tap “Report this meal” at the bottom of any meal and we'll take a look. For your own meal, or anything else, get in touch through our Buy Me a Coffee page.
